During the first quarter of this course to start this project we needed a team to help take photos, record videos and set up accounts. The team I ended up with is called Our Neighborhoods. This team involves Breyana, Monye, and me. What this project is about is that we are trying to find information about the Crown Heights Riots and how the Black and Jewish communities get along with each other now, considering that it's now been 22 years since the riots had happened. Also, we'd like to get information on gang related activities within Crown Heights and we are looking at Brower Park. We are currently waiting for a response from a friend of Breyana's so that we may interview her and get info. During 2nd quater though, we had been working on our trailer for the movie which will be named Our Neighborhoods.
This is the beginning of the 3rd quater and now that we've completed our trailer, it's time for us to focus on getting this interview and making a complete video. If not a complete video then at least get half of the video done by lets say March 16th. I figure that the milestone for this quater though is to complete the video with good B-roll, still photos and good interview with close to perfect quality.
The qualities that will make us successful as a team is working together to keep each other on task because although I feel that my team is too stressful to work with, I need to complete this project so that I may graduate. My team may be a pain but I'm dealing with it to the best of my abilities and keeping them on task. What I do to keep my team on task is that I stop them from reading, taking photos and using youtube while we are trying to work on this serious project, and this does result in arguments at times. My team, besides me, lives around crown heights. So that part of team cooperation is up to them. But I feel they won't do much besides hangout so it's mostly up to me to go there and get evidence and pictures. Unfortunately, I feel that I'm the only one taking this project seriously so that worries me.
